Dive into our list of essential products for caring for your beloved leather items (boots, belts, wallets and more)!
Leather Cleaner
A good leather cleaner is the foundation of any leather care routine. Look for a pH-balanced formula that can effectively remove dirt, grime, and stains without drying out the leather.*
For starters, we recommend the Bickmore Bick 1 Leather Cleaner as a good standard cleaner.
For extremely dirty leather, we recommend the Angelus Leather & Saddle Soap.
It is important to know it you have any sueded leather to use a specific suede cleaner such as the M&B Suede Cleaner Spray.
If you have exotic leather, read each product as they may not be contusive to use on different exotic skins and finishes.*
Leather Conditioner
Leather is a natural material that can dry out and crack over time. A quality leather conditioner helps to moisturize the leather, keeping it supple and preventing it from becoming brittle.
We have a few favorites when it comes to leather conditioner. If you want to keep closest to the color of the boot...try the, Bickmore Bick 4 Leather Conditioner. There is also Bick 5 with is a sprayable option of Bick 4.
We also love the BlackRock Leather'n'rich Conditioner with minimal color change and high quality ingredients.
If you are okay with darkening your leather, we suggest using the Angelus Mink Oil in either the Spray or the Oil Compound.
Wanting a balm? Try the Angelus Mink Oil Balm.
All of the above products are USA Made!
Leather Protectant
To shield your leather items from the elements and everyday wear and tear, a leather protectant is a must. This product forms a protective barrier against water, UV rays, and other damaging factors. Leather conditions work as protectant from "the elements".
Horsehair Brush
A horsehair brush is a gentle yet effective tool for cleaning and buffing leather. It helps to remove surface dirt and distribute conditioning products evenly, keeping your leather looking its best.
We recommend the Heritage Dauber Brush for ultimate specificity and effectiveness.
Microfiber Cloths
Soft and lint-free microfiber cloths are ideal for applying cleaners, conditioners, and protectants to leather surfaces. They help to avoid scratching or damaging the leather during the care process.
Any microfiber cloth will do, but if you are interested in a complete set, that is perfect to have on the go, try the Bickmore Leather Care Travel Kit.
